Detective Mike Klementz to Retire After 30 Years with McFarland Police

McFarland Village - WI issued the following announcement on Feb 23.

The McFarland Police Department (MCPD) has some bittersweet news to share. Detective Michael Klementz will be retiring from the MCPD, and his last working day will be Friday, February 25, 2022. 

Mike began his career with the MCPD in November of 1991 after serving in the US Army. His tenure in the MCPD included time as a Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Lieutenant, and Detective during his 30-year career. He also spent some time as a part-time Police Officer for the Town of Dunn Police Department in the 1990’s.

Mike has been an excellent co-worker, friend, trainer, supervisor, investigator, and confidant to many. Mike’s personnel file includes letters from many community members thanking him for his service to the community.  He has earned letters of commendation and was also awarded a life saving award.  

Mike, you have been an invaluable part of this department, and we wish you well on your next adventure. You will always be a part of this team, and we welcome you back for a visit whenever you want, as long as you bring food!  

Enjoy your retirement, and we wish you well in the next chapter of your life.
