On May 10, campus leaders and student representatives from Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) reached an agreement to resolve the encampment issue at Library Mall. As per the agreement, SJP will dismantle the encampment and has pledged not to disrupt this weekend's graduation ceremonies or other campus functions. They have also committed to refrain from reestablishing an encampment on campus and to adhere to UW–Madison rules in their future activities.

Starting from Monday, May 13, Madison Gas and Electric (MG&E) will initiate the replacement of their duct bank package on E. Doty Street. This is a preparatory step for the continuation of the Doty Street & Wilson Street reconstruction project. During this period, E. Doty Street will be reduced to one travel lane until August 16. Afterward, the closed lane will reopen and that portion of E. Doty street will be temporarily converted to two-way traffic lanes while the 100 Block of E.
